can i make bean curd rolls with thicker sheets i bought by accident?

Question by annn: can i make bean curd rolls with thicker sheets i bought by accident?
i wanted to make the steamed bean curd rolls served in dim sum restaurants but i accidentally bought sheets of curd that are too thick, almost like egg roll wrappers. can i still use them for the rolls? if not can anyone suggest other recipes in which to use them?

I think they should work fine. Try them and see, you could make one for a test. If that doesn’t work out, you could use them in any way you would use egg roll wrappers. My husband likes the rolls filled with rice and fried.

Here’s a search page with a lot of recipe results:

  1. I think it’s better if you use them for frying, like egg rolls or spring rolls. If the sheets are fairly tick and you’re steaming them, they can get kinda gooey and soggy.
